2022 Kia EV6 Starts From $34K, After Federal Tax Credit

The 2022 Kia EV6 will hit U.S. dealerships in the upcoming weeks at a starting price of $40,900. But, the EV6 is eligible for a $7,500 federal vehicle tax credit, so, the actual price goes down to $33,400.

The 2022 EV6 will be offered in three trim levels: Light, Wind and GT-Line and both RWD and e-AWD configurations. To be more precise, the Light version will only be offered in rear-wheel drive configuration, while Wind and sporty GT-Line variants will get both rear-wheel drive and Dual Motor e-AWD configurations.

The 2022 EV6 will be offered with two battery packs: 58.0 kWh and 77.4 kWh. Prices for the models equipped with the 58.0 kWh battery start from $40,900, or $33,400 after applying the $7,500 federal tax. For the models powered by the 77.4 kWh battery, prices will range from $47,000 to $55,900 - or $39,500 to $48,400 after the federal vehicle tax credit. Kia also announced that the EV6 could also qualify for various state incentives, including single rider carpool lane access in California.

Depending on the trim level, the EV6 offers up to 320 horsepower and a range of 310 miles. In its base version, the Light RWD, it will combine a 58.0 kWh battery with a 168kW rear motor. Output in this case in 167 horsepower and the range goes up to 232 miles. The next models in line Wind RWD and GT-Line RWD combine a 77.4 kWh battery with a 168kW rear motor. These models deliver a total of 225 horsepower and have a range of 310 miles. And finally, the top version models, the Wind AWD and GT-Line AWD, combine a 77.4 kWh battery with a 74kW front motor and a 165kW rear motor. Output in this case in 320 horsepower, while the range is only 274 miles.
