The current generation BMW 3 Series was been revealed in 2018 and, after four years on the market is due for a makeover. The facelift version of the 3 Series is expected to be unveiled in the next few months, and at the same time with it, the M-Performance version will also get an update.

Our spy photographers caught the latter out for a new testing session and, as you can see, it started to reveal a lot more of true skin.

Like with all the other facelifted BMW models, changes to the 3 Series should be minimal and limited to the front and rear end. This is the reason why only these two parts wear camouflage.

In the recent spy shots, we can see more from the grille and kidneys, and while they look closed here, they could also open when more cooling is needed. Being an M-Performance version, this model will also get a lower front spoiler lip and bigger intakes. As for the rear we are not very sure what is happening with that big rear wing, as the 3 Series M-Performance usually gets a subtle carbon-fiber spoiler placed on the trunk lid. Bigger wheels, special brakes should and an M Performance exhaus should add for a more sportier look.

The facelift 3-Series will be announced in the next few months, in both sedan and wagon versions. The M-Performance version should be launched in the same time with the rest of the lineup, but, months after that BMW will also offer an all-electric 3 Series version - one of the 25 electric and electrified models that the company has in the pipeline.
