Less than 24 hours after it was teased, Cadillac has finally taken the wraps off the Escalade-V. Well, that’s it. It has taken the wraps off. Nothing else. The company didn’t give out any details about this performance SUV other than revealing five images and announcing that more details about the Escalade-V will be given in Spring this year. Big whoop!

What Does The Escalade V-Series Look Like?

Cadillac teased the Escalade-V yesterday and has followed it up with some official images. As expected, the sporty SUV comes with blacked-out elements all around. The new mesh grille and the air damn on the front fascia receive the black treatment. The lowered bumper comes with new housing for the vertical LED DRLs.

The multispoke wheels have Cadillac center caps and ‘V’ branding on one of the spokes. There is a ‘V’ badge on the front fenders as well. The wheels, most likely a 22-inch set, are wrapped in Bridgestone tires. There are some aero elements all around. You have an aggressive rear diffuser and some aero flics at the front.

There are no images of the interior other than one of the steering wheel where you can see the ‘V’ badge on it.

There is no word on the drivetrain either, but we expect it to be the same supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine that powers the CT5-V Blackwing.} In the sedan, it churns out 668 horses and 659 pound-feet of torque. Currently, the standard Escalade is offered with two engine options - a 6.2-liter V-8 that puts out 420 horses and 460 pound-feet of torque, and a 3.0-liter, six-cylinder Duramax mill that generates 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of twist.

We speculate a 10-speed automatic gearbox to be the only option here, even though the CT5-V Blackwing comes with a six-speed manual as a standard option. A manual on an SUV this big is pretty much out of question. As for the performance specs, the Escalade-V could sprint to 60 mph from rest in perhaps low 5s and have a top speed of around 150 mph. Just for your reference, the CT5-V takes just 3.4 seconds to 60 mph from naught and has a top speed of over 200 mph.

Cadillac has mentioned that all the details about the Escalade V-Series will be revealed in Spring 2022.
