Lets do some math: what can you do with $270,000? Buy a Porsche 911 GT2 RS with $245,000, put some gas and make an impressive trip in a place where you wanted to go for a very long time. Or, you can buy a watch. Yes, you read that correctly. Porsche Design store in Dubai Mall has put on sale a limited edition Porsche Design Indicator timepiece that cost AED 990,000 or about $270,000 at the current exchange rates. There will be only 50 units built.

The new Porsche watch has been designed by the car maker in cooperation with the Swiss watchmaker Eterna. It includes a mix of 18-carat rose gold, natural rubber and titanium.

The clasps and body are made of rose gold, with a titanium face and rubber straps that look like Porsche tires. The face includes a stop watch and second timer, and a dial turns from green to red when the watch runs low on power. The watch will get its power from the movement of your wrist.

What!. It was pretty expensive. And I don’t think I would spend $270k just for this watch. It would be better if I would spend it in a car rather than this watch.

Hmm, this one actually looks a bit too plain to me. Why did they say it costs $270k again? Oh yeah, it’s because it contains gold. Well, pretty useless if you ask me.

Porsche is indeed known for its price. Until now, their proving it. Who would buy such watch for the price of a car? Only Porsche can make this kind of watch. For its appearance, it looks classy and sporty at the same time. I think that’s because of the Gold with natural rubber titanium on it.

hmm. I do agree that this car is not that impressive when it comes to detailing.
I think the other watched is more beautiful than this one!

OK. Let’s just assume that I’m interested. Actually, this watch or should I say chronograph.. doesn’t look good at all compare to the other watches that was released by
various car manufacturer. You can’t even compare this to a Rolex!

hmm. It seems that even Porsche have already extended their merchandise arm!
I really don’t get the point of posting this news in the car section! I think it would be better if we leave this thing on Porsche’s official website!
