There aren’t that many cars in the world that are as at home in a dyno as the Ford Mustang. That’s why it’s a treat to present you this: a 2015 Mustang GT California Special getting put through the paces in an incredible dyno run. Since this is the California Special we’re talking about, it comes with its usual array of exterior and interior modifications that aren’t found on a regular Mustang. More importantly, this Mustang also received an extensive engine upgrade, none more important than the installation of a 2.9L Whipple Supercharger. The result is an absolutely sinister 666 horsepower on tap, enough to make even the devil hide in fear.

The Mustang also received a bevy of other upgrades, including a carbon fiber splitter from APR Performance, custom coilers, and a new set of 20-inch ADV005 MV2 CS wheels wrapped in Nitto NT05 performance tires, measuring 275/35/20 at the front and 315/35/20 at the back.

You only need to hear the sound of that ear-splitting dyno run to know that this Mustang means serious business. Turn up the volume on your speakers and let the madness take over. Oh, and stick around towards the end to see this Mustang in action. Nothing makes your Christmas mornings better than watching a souped-up muscle car performing some ridiculous donuts.

Kirby’s first exposure into the world of automobiles happened when he caught Knight Rider on television as a five-year old boy. David Hasselhoff didn’t leave much of an impression on him (that happened later on in Baywatch), but KITT certainly did. To this day, Kirby remains convinced that he will one day own a car with the same ‘spirit’ as the original KITT (not the 2008 monstrosity). He doesn't know when that will be, but until then, he’s committed to expressing his love for KITT, and all cars for that matter, here at TopSpeed.  Read More
