Ever since Ferrari launched the SF90 Stradale, very few cars have been able to face its strength and speed. And in fact, most of the cars that stood a chance were heavily modified cars, like for example a 950+ horsepower Turbo S that was able to keep up with the Italian supercar. In the latest video, the guys over CarWow have found another cool car that had a chance to beat the SF90. As no surprise we are again talking about a heavily modified car: a Nissan GT-R tuned by the guys over JM Imports.

The Ferrari SF90 Stradale Is Directly Inspired By F1

Inspired by the F1 world, the SF90 Stradale is not only Ferrari's first plug-in hybrid supercar, but also the most powerful one. Its powertrain is a combination of a 4.0-liter, V-8, internal combustion engine and three electric motors that deliver a combined output of 986 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. Ferrari claims the supercar goes from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds, but Car and Driver managed to do the sprint in just 2.0 seconds. It can also hit a top speed of 211 mph. The car put to test in the video weighs 1,570 kilos (3,461 pounds) and is priced at £376,000 - a little over $434,000 at the current exchange rates.

An Impressively Tuned Nissan GT-R?

In the other corner, there is a car that, in this case, is just as powerful, but heavier and a lot cheaper. From the factory, the Nissan GT-R comes with a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 that can deliver up to 600 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque in the Nismo form. But the car put to race today had some changes under the hood done by the guys over JM Imports. A few performance mods, a remapped ECU, and a new exhaust system have taken the output up to a total of 1,000 horsepower and 845 pound-feet of torque. At 1,750 kilos (3,858 pounds), this updated GT-R is significantly cheaper: £90,000 - or about $104,000 at the current exchange rates.

A Tuned Nissan GT-R vs. The Ferrari SF90

Interestingly enough, the GT-R finally has enough power to match the Ferrari SF90. In fact, in the second race, it managed to run the quarter mile in 9.5 seconds, which was 0.2 seconds faster than the time scored by the SF90. But, for all the other races the GT-R was a little bit too slow, and the Ferrari supercar claimed the win. Still, it was nice to see that there was finally a car that could put the Ferrari SF90 in trouble!
