Lada , the Russian car maker came to Geneva, and they have plans for major export operation across the Europe. The brand is run by Avtovas and may extend even in the U.K. The range include a series of five cars with no so much technology on board, but cheap to buy.

But they came to Geneva with something new, and a bit more contemporary, a concept. Lada C Concept is a car that seems to be a modern hatch. The mechanical part was designed by MagnaSteyr and represents the platform of the next -generation lineup of cars from Lada. The car is developed to meet European safety and emissions standards, so they could came soon on European markets.

The concept is powered by a relatively big engine for this kind of car, a 2.0 liter four cylinders, and front-wheel drive

The three-door hatch use a design very similar with many European cars but the front end is very close to the VW Iroc concept from last year.

We don't know if the C concept is destined for production, but is still a step forward in terms of design and technology compared to the production models.
