A Lamborghini Urus Pickup Truck? Yes Please!
Is Lambo pondering a super truck?by Ciprian Florea, on
Lamborghini ended 2017 on a high note by unveiled the Urus, its first utility vehicle since the LM002. The Italians are calling it the world’s first SSUV, as in super SUV. And I can’t blame them for doing that. It’s mean, it’s awfully powerful and incredibly fast. Sure, it doesn’t have the V-10 or V-12 engine found in the Huracan and Aventador, but it’s pretty cool with a twin-turbo V-8 too. And word has it a hybrid version might follow soon. But what if Lambo decided to give us a spiritual successor to the LM002 and build a pickup truck version of the Urus?
A Lambo pickup would become popular among rich folks from the Middle East
Nope, there’s no rumor or report about it, but X-Tomi Design’s latest rendering proves that a Urus with a bed would definitely look awesome. Surprisingly good actually given that the SUV’s design is heavily based on the company’s existing supercars. So would it make sense in today’s market? I honestly believe it would. At least a limited-edition model. It’s pretty enough with the rear section extended into a bed, and it would be powerful enough to draw a few hundred customers into showrooms. Heck, Mercedes built a high-performance six-wheeled truck, I’m pretty sure that a Lambo pickup would become popular among rich folks from the Middle East. Plus a few collectors in Europe, the United States, and China.
Will Lamborghini build one? Most likely not! But it would be the coolest truck since the first-generation Ford F-Series!
