A one-of-a-kind custom-built 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe has undergone a professional comprehensive restoration and is a Pro-Touring build that now includes modern tech to go with the old-school styling.

This is a no-expense-spared build unlike any other. This custom Mustang Coupe is rocking a retro style in a modern package. With subtle body mods such as metal-fabricated side scoops and trunk spoiler, along with a nipped and shaven front and rear painted bumpers, the gorgeous body has been finished with Agate Black pearl paint. The glossy tail panel and front grille components, as well as the paint-matched side scoop grilles and chrome highlights, lend subtly assertive tones and help define the car's personality. The inclusion of LED lights in the front parking/turn, reverse, and taillights modernize the design and functioning of the vehicle while retaining its traditional appeal.

The interior is completely unique, including Corbeau bucket seats, a suede headliner, door panels, an Alcantara Steering wheel, and custom seat upholstery in both front and back. The stunning Alcantara suede-wrapped steering wheel is linked to the stainless-steel Flaming River tilt column reminiscent of a Shelby from the days of old. Power windows, power locks, and Old Air climate control are among the extras that provide the conveniences you'd expect from a modern vehicle.

Under the hood of this bespoke Mustang lies a Ford Racing 5.0-liter XS Coyote engine equipped with ported Cobra Jet heads and Cobra Jet cams, a ported intake, a fully forged bottom end, a crank pulley, and billet oil pump gears. Ceramic-coated headers, a stainless-steel exhaust, and Borla mufflers allow the engine to breathe. The engine is mated to a modified T-56 6-speed manual transmission with a hydraulic clutch, which transfers power to a custom-built and narrowed Ford 9-inch DuraGrip positraction rear end with 31-spline axles and a 4.10 gear ratio.

As far as the setup for the ride and handling goes, this 67’ Mustang features a TCI IFS front suspension, mini-tubbed TCI Torque-Arm rear suspension, billet adjustable coil-overs, front and rear along with sway bars, and a TCI sub-frame connector system for enhanced chassis rigidity comprise the Pro-Touring suspension setup. This modified Mustang also has features electronic rack and pinion steering along with Wilwood brakes (13-inch with 6-piston calipers up front, 12-inch with 4-piston calipers at the rear) and an electronic parking brake setup.

Looking at these custom mods, one thing is almost immediately apparent. The sheer build quality and attention to detail are evident almost everywhere you look. Exquisite details like the billet hood and trunk hinges, the GT500R hood locks, the flush-mount gas cap, and custom-made 18-inch Shelby throwback wheels wrapped in tough Toyo R888R rubber really take this build to a whole new level. The rear wheels measure 18x12 inches, while the fronts measure 18x9 inches.

This one-of-a-kind Custom ’67 Mustang Coupe is available at no reserve at Barrett Jackson’s upcoming inaugural auction in Houston Texas, scheduled between the 16th and 18th of September.
