• Abu Dhabi Police Nissan GTR Chases Ferrari 458: Video

I suppose it’s fair to say that the Middle East has one of the most incredible collection of law enforcement vehicles. The Dubai Police Fleet, for example, has quite the number of exotic police vehicles. It has a Bugatti Veyron, Mercedes SLS AMG, Nissan GT-R, Bentley Continental, and a Mercedes G63 AMG to call on. For its part, the Abu Dhabi Police has its own troop of high-priced, law-enforcement vehicles, including a Chevrolet Camaro SS, Rolls-Royce Phantom and the $3.4 million Lykan Hypersport.

Let that serve as a warning for anyone who may want to break the law in these places. In the event that somebody finds himself in a car chase in Abu Dhabi, he better be prepared for the level of dedication the Abu Dhabi Police has in making sure that nobody can run roughshod on the streets of the city without getting arrested. The driver of this Ferrari 458 found that out the hard way. Sure he was able to outrun the police force’s regular fleet of Fords and Volkswagens, but once it got down to business, the GT-R came into the picture to make it an even fight. In the end, we all see how the car chase turns out. Even though this video is just the equivalent of a public service announcement, it’s a pretty effective one that showcases how formidable the Abu Dhabi Police is.

Again, if anybody’s going to be a little cavalier on the road while driving a supercar, make sure it’s not in Abu Dhabi.

Kirby’s first exposure into the world of automobiles happened when he caught Knight Rider on television as a five-year old boy. David Hasselhoff didn’t leave much of an impression on him (that happened later on in Baywatch), but KITT certainly did. To this day, Kirby remains convinced that he will one day own a car with the same ‘spirit’ as the original KITT (not the 2008 monstrosity). He doesn't know when that will be, but until then, he’s committed to expressing his love for KITT, and all cars for that matter, here at TopSpeed.  Read full bio
