Bullet-proof vehicles aren’t uncommon anymore. We’ve seen a lot of SUVs and sedans transformed into beasts that can take bullets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But, how about a bullet-proof pickup truck? AddArmor has transformed a truck into a safe room on wheels, and the truck is none other than the Hennessey VelociRaptor!

AddArmor has made use of Dyneema for the build, which is a polycarbonate composite that the company says is 40-percent stronger than Kevlar and 15 times stronger than steel.

It can withstand AK-47 rounds and other explosive devices, too. The build comes with run-flat tires that can be driven up to 50 miles per hour, Brembo brakes, and a front suspension leveling kit. It also comes with other safety and protection features such as:

-* A counter-attack sound system

-* Electric-shock door handles

-* Concealed front and rear bumpers

-* A dual battery system

-* Siren and stone lights

-* An operational intercom system

-* Bomb scanning capabilities

AddArmor offers three protection packages in total:

Anti-Intrusion:

-* Replaces factory windows with bullet-resistant, shatter-proof glass

-* Install custom-fit ballistic protection panels inside each door and tailgate

Full Protection:

-* To mitigate higher-level threats like kidnapping, car-bombing, etc.

-* Run-flat tires, bomb blankets

-* Ballistic protection for - radiator, battery, fuel tank, and the computer circuit boards in the ECM.

Executive Armored Protection

-* Equips the cabin with luxurious features and creature comforts

-* Can be equipped with optional stuff like pepper spray dispensers, electric shock handles, outside mic and speaker, run-flat tires, etc.

There’s no word on the pricing of this build, but the basic packages start from $28,000. This VelociRaptor has a lot of stuff, so we’re sure it costs a bomb (pun intended).

About The Hennessey VelociRaptor

The Hennessey VelociRaptor is based on the Ford F-150 Raptor. It comes with a power upgrade that makes 600 horses and 622 pound-feet of torque. The truck takes 4.2 seconds to 60 mph from rest and 12.9 seconds to quarter-mile at a top speed of 110 mph. These figures will be compromised since a lot of weight is added to the AddArmor build.
