Alfa Romeo has already announced the upcoming Tonale's launch date of February 8, and since then, the Italian automaker has begun teasing its upcoming compact premium SUV.

Today, we now get to see a glimpse of its front fascia and digital gauge cluster--a first for Alfa Romeo. The front end looks very close to the Tonale concept car that preview it in 2019, which means we can expect a very good-looking compact SUV indeed.

Our spy photographers have captured the Tonale on numerous occasions, and while they don't seem to be immediately obvious, the Tonale will be wearing a full-width LED taillight design, which will be a first for Alfa Romeo as well. We also expect the production Alfa Romeo Tonale to share design cues with the slightly larger Stelvio, which means that this compact premium SUV should feature a rounded silhouette and a sloping roofline.

The interior of the Alfa Romeo Tonale should also be similar to the concept (as shown), and if the digital gauges from the teasers are any indicator, then it's safe to say that will indeed be the case. Of course, expect plenty of design details to be toned down from its transition from concept to production.

The upcoming Tonale is rumored to share the same platform as the Jeep Renegade, though nothing's been confirmed at this point. Since the Tonale is going to be a plug-in hybrid, the Renegade's 1.3-liter turbo four-cylinder mated to an electric motor is the most likely powertrain candidate, and it should produce around 190 to 240 hp.

The Alfa Romeo Tonale will finally make its debut on February 8 and we expect all of the details to be revealed on its launch date.
