The Ford GT needs to introduction. This car won four consecutive Le Mans races in the late 1960s. The supercar has a long history, and all its credibility was shifted to the street-legal performance car from the automaker at the turn of the century. The GT rides on optional forged aluminum BBS wheels measuring 18 inches at the front and 19 inches at the back. They are wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 tires measuring 235/45 and 315/40 at the front and back, respectively. The braking duties are taken over by four-piston red Brembo calipers and vented rotors measuring 14 inches and 13.2 inches at the front and rear, respectively.

Behind the leather-wrapped steering wheel is the fantastic instrument cluster, fortunately without any mods here. The cluster houses the tachometer, speedometer, oil pressure, and many other gauges. The only thing that’s different here is a Speedhut fuel gauge.

The Sparco-sourced seats are trimmed in Ebony leather and feature carbon fiber shells. It even has the original GT40 type harness slots and ventilation grommets. Ahead of the sweet-looking gear lever with an aluminum knob are the rotary climate control toggles and emergency brake lever in brushed aluminum. Ford conducted a faulty airbag recall in 2018 and both the driver and the passenger airbag inflators were replaced. The car also features a McIntosh CD stereo system.

What Powers This 2005 Ford GT?

It features an aluminum block, cylinder heads, and pistons in addition to a Lysholm screw-type supercharger, a water-to-air intercooler, and a dry-sump lubrication system. Power is sent to the wheels via a Ricardo six-speed manual transaxle with a helical limited-slip differential. As mentioned earlier, it has run just 1,100 miles, which practically makes it an unused vehicle for over a decade-and-a-half.
