October 10th is turning out to be a big day for Americana Manhasset, an upscale mall in Manhasset, New York. That’s the day when it will be hosting its 6th annual Concours d’Elegance.

Themed as the “Salute to Classic Coachbuilders of the 20th Century”, the event is expected to attract over 200 privately owned vehicles, all of whom will surely have their eyes set on scooping up either the ‘Best in Show’ title and ‘Best in Class’ title.

As part of the festivities, event organizers have tapped no less than Tom Tjaarda, the auto designer that has plied his craft for two of the most esteemed coachbuilders in the world, Pininfarina and Ghia. Another attraction that’s sure to get its fair share of attention is the Baja Boot, the very same car that the legendary racer Steve McQueen drove in a number of off-road events, including the 1968 Stardust 7-11 and the 1969 Baja 1000.

Some of the participants for this event are Aston Martin->ke13 Long Island, Autosport Designs Inc. - Lotus->ke49 Motor Cars of Long Island, Bentley->ke15 Long Island, Exotic Classics, Ferrari->ke252 Maserati->ke51 of Long Island, Manhattan Motorcars, Porsche->ke1 Roslyn, Rolls Royce->ke74 of Long Island, and Universal Autosports.
