When it comes to producing insanely fast GT-Rs, AMS Performance is one of the biggest names in the game. The West Chicago-based tuner has broken countless records with its Alpha Omega shop car, and it offers a variety of power packages for customers looking to dominate the drag strip. Power levels range from the mild to the terrifying, with the top available build capable of over 2,000-horsepower and enough speed to outgun any stock production vehicle on the planet.

That means anyone can bring their R35 to AMS and walk away with a car that runs sevens. One such crazy was Gideon Chamdi, who showed up at the TX2K15 event at Royal Purple Raceway near Houston Texas to showcase what a 367 percent power increase looks like when properly applied the 1,320.

Chamdi finished the weekend with a best pass of 7.94 at 180 mph and a win in the GT-R 4 Class Drag event, not to mention a runner-up spot in the Unlimited Class Roll Race event.

While quite impressive, the fastest GT-R in attendance belonged to Extreme Turbo Systems from Vancouver Washington, which set a new world record when it ran a 7.49 at 189 mph.

Next year’s event is sure to see more drama as Nissan’s->ke62 ultimate badass is tuned for even more power and faster quarter mile times. At this point, it’s anyone’s guess who will come out on top.
