When you do see an animated squirrel in one of the commercials that will air during the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl please don’t think that’s it a trailer for a one of those new CGI 3D movies.

The commercial is actually for Honda’s new Accord Crosstour and it shows the said squirrel – or is it chipmunk? – moving a number of different things, including a pineapple, a trophy, and a set of weights into what turns out to be the cargo area of the Crosstour.

Don’t ask us why Honda chose a squirrel or why they decided to go the animated route for their Super Bowl commercial. But quirkiness aside, the commercial does touch significantly on the large storage space of the Accord Crosstour, which, incidentally, is one of the selling points of the new car.

Well, I think that squirrel has done a great job on this ad. If wasn’t for that poor little
fella, I bet this ad will be trashed.

Apparently Honda is running out of marketing budget to pay a company that would render a smooth 3D objects, hence they use “animated objects”.

Well that was rather cute. I wish I had the same squirrel to clean my house for me. I mean he was pretty neat cleaning all of those stuff up. Although I may have to suggest that the Pineapple would have been best if it stored it in the refrigerator instead of placing it in some hole or something.

wow that was a cool movie, i love the body style of the honda crosstour.. specially they added some safety features. Bad thing is in europe they will turn the crosstour into taxicab.
