APR has been tuning Audi, Porsche, and Volkswagen vehicles for quite some time now and for this year's SEMA show, the company is set to showcase a very special Volkswagen Golf. APR has named this car the RLMS, and it will be spitting fire at the SEMA.

APR's Volkswagen Golf R is Downright Crazy

The APR Volkswagen Golf R will feature a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder that spits out 536 horses. This car has the added advantage of APR's 3+ turbocharger kit and the two-piece wheels with Toyo tires. Apparently, the Golf R will get an aggressive all-around treatment with mean-looking elements that include exposed carbon fiber accents and an aggressive front face with larger intakes.

On the inside, the RLMS is customized with racing seats and an OMP racing harness. For safety, a custom roll cage and fire extinguisher can also be found. This is all we know about this car for now, as APR isn't offering any more details. Nevertheless, the RLMS has caught our attention.

A Grand Farewell For The VW Golf R

Currently, the stock Golf R is nearing its end and will be retired in the U.S. by the end of the year. Some of these shades include vintage colors like Ginster Yellow from the 1997 Driver’s Edition GTI and Mars Red from the first-gen GTI. Out of these 45 colors, 40 of them add an extra $2,500 to the price tag.

The Next-Gen VW Golf R

Volkswagen is working on the next-gen Golf R, and it will reportedly feature the same 2.0-liter, turbocharged, four-cylinder coupled with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. Power will be sent to all wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
