We’re back with another BMW-related leak. This time, the revised G30 BMW 5 Series has surfaced online in a set of pictures that look like the real deal.

Unlike the next-gen BMW 2 Series Coupé, the arrival of a facelifted 5 Series was previously documented by various spyshots, so it was only a matter of time before it broke cover, one way or the other.

Hey, is that a 3 Series or a 5 Series?

Obviously, the changes BMW brought to the revamped 5 Series are quite subtle in terms of exterior design.

In the pics published by German Car Forum, the grille seems slightly larger and the headlight/taillight graphics look like they’ve been tweaked, and we don’t know if it’s just us, but there’s a 3er vibe about the facelifted 5 Series. Don’t you agree? It somehow looks more agile and suppler.

We can also spot a minor redesign for the front bumper - perhaps to accommodate for the new headlight design - followed in the back by small adjustments made to the diffuser, bumper, and trunk lid.

A couple of new wheel designs might also come along with the facelift, but as far as the interior is concerned, there are no pictures to relate to. So we’ll just have to wait for official word from BMW regarding any nip and tuck inside the cabin.

What about powertrains?

We expect things to remain unchanged, given the subtlety of the cosmetic changes brought to the G30 5 Series. The M5, however, could also get a facelift, probably later on, towards the end of the year or in the beginning of 2021.

In the U.S., for example, the BMW 5 Series sedan range comprises the following models:
