Just a few days ago we were reporting that the V12 Vantage RS will go into production and now we bring you the proof: CarMagazine caught it testing. The production will begin in the first quarter of 2009.

The V12 gets its name from the 6.0-litre unit shoehorned under the bonnet. The production version will have an output of about 550 hp and not 600 hp like the concept version.

The V12 should also get new wheels, not the bling aftermarket items seen on the static car. The V12 Vantage RS Concept is available in Mako Blue colour and it is expected that this will also be offered for the production version. Production itself will probably be at Gaydon, and the price is expected to be in excess of £150,000.
