You know that saying that says is never to early to start building your carrier? Well it seems that a British young boy, and when I say young I mean four years old, decided to work on his future starting when he was two years old, when his dad gave him his first electric kart.

When he turned three, the electric kart was already to little for him, so his dad decided to buy him a proper one, which was modified. And now, Ben, cause this is his name, has already a top speed record of 35 mph in his 50cc kart.

And recently he had become the youngest person in British motorsport history to have been signed up.

If you are familiar with the one-kilometre karting circuit at Rye House, Hoddeson when you should know Ben, as he quite regular in the area. His dad said he is a proud dad. Who wouldn't?

Ben has just been signed up on a four-year contract with the circuit operators, Motorsport World, giving him unlimited testing time, full mentoring, with all equipment needed - including the kart and a mechanic.

Rye House events co-ordinator John Huff told the WHT that he was extremely excited by prospect of Ben: "His talent is uncanny, it seems as if he was born to drive," he said. "We do have certain expectations and Ben is already better than most adults who come here. He certainly has potential."

Even if for now he is restricted to drive alone on the track, until he turns eight, Lewis Hamilton watch out! Your competition is coming!
