Heading into the LA Auto Show, BMW’s Vision EfficientDynamics was being touted as the can’t-miss concept car. Now it looks like it may have found a worthy contender in the form of the Audi E-Tron Concept.

Both cars made their debuts at the Frankfurt Motor Show but while the same BMW concept showed up at the LA Auto Show, the e-tron Concept has arrived sporting a totally different – and eye-popping – color: orange.

We already know what the E-Tron Concept is capable of, but it’s still worth a refresher course. The car is powered by a purely electric drive system made up of four motors – two at the front and two more at the rear axle – generating a total output of 313 HP and 3,319.03 lb-ft of torque. With that much power under its hood, the car is capable of clocking in a 0 to 60 MPH time of just 4.8 seconds.

The orange color may be an acquired taste for some, but for us, it’s blindingly beautiful. It makes us wonder now if the E-Tron Concept may have stolen some of the Vision EfficientDynamics’ thunder.

As much as possible, I don’t want to consider it as a competition coz’ every car has their own showcase and for Audi E-Tron concept, I think it’s more like, "you gave your own interpretation, my chance to give mine".

As BMW bring their quality canonball(the BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics), Audi will be more high tech than that to have a concept of an electronic sports car. For what I know, the performance level of that concept car of Audi is quite interesting so better to check up the latest news about this one.

Audi E-tron Concept is really capable of bringing up a good competition, and the color really helped. It is not an eye-irritating orange. There are only few chances that car will be exhibited with that color, but with what e-tron concept, they defy the odds. But still, it is the Vision Efficient Dynamics that was named as Car of the Year.
