The Audi TT is Germany’s most popular car. For the eighth time, more than 100 regional weekly newspapers invited their readers to vote for “Our car”. The 56 car models launched during the past year were eligible to take part. Over 100,000 responses were received, and the Audi TT topped the poll.

The TT, which received the “Yellow Angel” award from readers of the ADAC publication Motorwelt at the beginning of this year, continues Audi’s success story in the “Our car” poll. In 2005 the Audi A6 was the clear winner, while last year the A4 came out on top. The prize is awarded during the AMI in Leipzig.

The TT is available as a coupé and a roadster, the latter of which was launched recently. Besides an unmistakable design, the decisive factor in the TT’s huge success is its proverbial “Vorsprung durch Technik”, exemplified by the lightweight body construction in intelligent composite design, the two-litre engine with petrol direct injection and turbocharging, the S tronic Direct Shift Gearbox and quattro permanent four-wheel drive.

The Audi TT is available in Germany from 32,750 euros.
