Aussie’s supercar prototype was ment to be a $2 million-plus Ferrari-beating supercar. It is built in a Warragul workshop and will will soon be on the market for as little as $180,000. But in order for this to happen, Matt Thomas - designer, builder and owner of the Joss Supercar - plans to sell the prototype to raise enough money to bring the car into production.

The prototype will be sold somewhere between $450.000-$500.000, but the owner will never be able to show off his new toy because the prototype does not meet Australian design hurdles and cannot be driven on public roads.

Matt Thomas intends to go in Europe too to look for new backers.

If the car will be made it will be powered by a 6.8-litre fuel-injected alloy V8 turning out about 469 hp and 479 lbs-ft, which should push the Joss from 0-60 mph in about three seconds.
