Toyota gave birth to a two-door, hardtop coupe in 1970 called the Celica. The company first showcased it at the 1970 Tokyo Motor Show and within a couple of months, started selling it. The Celica was essentially Toyota’s answer to the Ford Mustang, but the car seemed to have other dreams. It slowly transitioned into a different breed and Toyota started selling it in liftback and coupe forms. Three-and-a-half decades later, the Celica faded away into oblivion as a sports car with a loyal fan base.

The car’s production ended in 2006, but it is still much adored and turns heads on the roads. There’s no denying that the car still has a demand. Here’s one such classic example – a black 1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four. The car is being auctioned at bringatrailer.com and at the time of writing, the current bid stands at $9,000. Would you grab it?

The owner has declared rust on the trailing edge of the doors and right rear quarter panel which needs repair. There is an oil-seepage from the engine as well that’s not been fixed yet.
