It’s been just a few days since Bentley announced the Bentayga EWB, the fifth model in the lineup, next to theBentayga Speed, the Bentayga S, the Bentayga V8, and the Bentayga Hybrid.

Ever since its launch, we knew that Bentley would also offer a First Edition model, but it's only today when we got more details on this special version.

This version will only be offered in the first 12 months of orders, and, according to Bentley it will "combine many of the most desirable options available for the car."

What makes the 2022 Bentley Bentayga EWB Azure First Edition special?

Next to the usual exterior and interior badges, the new First Edition will offer a few distinctive features that will help customers to recognize it easier. The exterior will be distinguished by bright lower bumper grilles, while the car will sit on a unique set of 22” ten-spoke directional wheels. The interior will add unique quilted seats, mood lighting, a heated steering wheel, and increased driver’s assistance aids.

The First Edition will also be offered with Naim for Bentley – a cool in-car sound system that delivers 1,720 Watts of power across 20 speakers, while the Bentley Rear Entertainment system is offered as an option. It allows the rear passengers to stream media to 10.1-inch screens. The model will also include standard Bentley Diamond Illumination which features LED lights in 30 user-controlled colors. This way, the entire cabin will deliver stunning lighting.

In a previous statement, Bentley announced that the Bentayga EWD offers 24 billion trim combinations alone, and of course, the new First Edition is no exception to the rule. Next to the standard palette of 16 exterior paints, Bentley is also offering an Extended Paint Range, that will increase the choices to over 60 colors. The interior will also offer a wide range of veneers, carbon fiber, stitching, piping, and hand cross-stitching, including high-gloss wood and open-pore options like Crown Cut Walnut, and Dark Burr Walnut and Koa.

As a reminder, the Bentayga EWD 7.1 adds inches to the SUV’s wheelbase, which means it now measures 125 inches, while its total length went up to 209.5 inches.

Under the hood, it features a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V-8 engine that delivers a total of 542 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. Despite its increased dimensions, the Bentayga EWB still delivers great performance figures: 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 180 mph.
