A facelifted BMW 3 Series has been caught testing, and the pictures give a good idea what the car will be like when introduced in the fall of 2008 as a 2009 model.
The car gets a more rounded treatment in the grill, with headlights that blend in and appear to be LED units, similar to those which recently debuted on select Audi models. The front bumper also carries a more rounded appearance. Though camouflaged in the photographs, the hood also shares a more rounded shape, seeming to dip further toward the front of the vehicle. Air intakes in the bumper are larger.
At the back, the rear of the trunk lid appears to have camouflage hiding tail light lenses which extend into the trunk lid itself. There is more of a spoiler or diffuser shape to the trunk lid’s tailing edge and, seemingly, a bit more bulk to the rear bumper. From the side, the car appears little changed.
