BMW is to unveil more versions of its M3. Autogespot caught the Convertible version testing in Nürburgring.

The M3 Convertible is expected to be powered by the same 4.0 liter V8 engine that produces 420 hp that is used in the Coupe version. For the US market it is expected to be priced around $55000.

There was some rumors saying the M3 could even be a soft top in order to keep its weight low. And the coupe M3 got a carbon fiber roof so why not on the convertible !

I am a bit deceived not to see a carbon roof on the car.. It seems like a regular convertible top, which means the M3 convertible will have much heavier weight than the coupe, already very heavy with its big V8 and technology gizmos...

But if they can bring it to the USA for the same price as the current model ($55k) that will be a bargain smiley
