The BMW M3 Convertible is set to be unveiled next year at the Geneva Motor Show. And how March is really closed, the M3 Convertible was caught barely undisguised. It will go on sale in summer 2008 at a price starting from £54,000.

Compared to the coupe version, the Convertible will weight a full 200kg more. Under the hood there will be the same 4.0-litre Motorsport powerplant.

Also BMW will use a three-part metal roof, complete with electro-hydraulic folding gubbins, instead of the carbonfibre roof from the coupe.

With 420bhp at a wailing 8300rpm and 295lb ft of torque at 3900rpm, it should hit 60mph in a fraction over five seconds and top speed will be limited to 155 mph.
