It looks like BMW->ke178 has big plans for the next two years: 11 new models will be launched in 2013 and by the end of 2014, 25 new models will be added to the range, with 10 of them being completely new. BMW said nothing else about these new models, but we do know it will include models like the i3 and the i8, the new 2-Series and 4-Series and their M derivatives.

In the same press release, BMW announced the production version i3 will be make its world debut in September at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show and will be put on sale by the end of the year.

Even though no one has actually seen it in production form, BMW has already received "several hundred advanced orders" for the i3. The model has been designed to run with zero emissions in an urban environment. It has an approximate range of 150 km (93 miles) and will be 250 (551 pounds) to 350 kilograms (771 pounds) lighter than a conventional electric car.
