According to Inside Line, a targa version for the $1.9 million EB16.4 Veyron is set to come in 2008.

The Veyron Targa is expected to receive a glass roof engineered by German specialist Webasto - the same company responsible for the Volkswagen Eos’s folding aluminum and glass hardtop. The laminated panel is removable but cannot be stowed on board, because of the EB16.4 Veyron’s tight packaging. Bugatti plans to equip the new car with an expandable piece of fabric that can be clipped into place to keep rain and sunshine at bay.

Bugatti plans to limit the EB16.4 Veyron’s top speed to 350 kph (217 mph), 35 mph less than the coupe’s 407-kph (253 mph) maximum. But even at that speed, it will be the world’s fastest open-top car.
