Cars are now entangled into a lot of aspects of our lives, whether it's driving one, wishing to buy one, having one in the bedroom on a wall poster or on your PC's wallpaper. Then you've got your video games, your car Lego sets, your scale models, and recently, your paper cars.

All you had to do was download them, print them, and hand them over to your kids to keep them occupied.

Infiniti wanted to go a step further and came up with a range of carigami sets (that's car + origami, the Japanese art of paper folding) and the latest entry is the new QX55. Well, a paper version of it, coming to join the previous four - shall we call them sets? - comprising the likes of FX35, Honey Badger Q50S, QX80, and Q50S. You even get a link that lets you download the blueprint and detailed folding instructions (see the end of the article for links to every one).

In a way, this might be a neat way to pass the time. Plus, they say nothing compares to the satisfaction of getting something done or built with your own hands, so I guess a carigami figurine can provide that to some extent and also offer a desk-decorating alternative.

Who knows, maybe folding the car's paper panels will spark something and you'll want to move on to more difficult builds. I know I'd like a detailed paper supercar that I folded sitting on my desk, so there's that.
