We’ve all seen videos of fast cars burning rubber on the Nürburgring. Have you ever imagined being in one of those record-setting cars? If you answered yes, well, you can finally do it courtesy of Jaguar. Starting in mid-November, Jaguar will add the XE SV Project 8, equipped with the Track Pack, to its Jaguar Race Taxi fleet. If you're interested, a professional driver will whip you around in the XE SV Project 8 for $226 per lap.

What is Jaguar Race Taxi fleet?

Jaguar Race Taxi fleet is targeted at racing fans who want to experience the famed Nürburgring in super fast cars without risking their own vehicles on the 13-mile track. When Jaguar announced the program earlier this year, it had two models, one of which was the F-Type SVR. You get to ride with an experienced Jaguar driver and hit speeds to the tune of 200 mph! It sounds pretty cool, and it is, but it comes at a cost.

How Much Does Jaguar Race Taxi Fleet Cost and What Comes With the Pacakge?

The $226 fee includes a single lap around the Nürburgring circuit on of Jaguar's cars, including the Jaguar XE SV Project 8, with a professional driver behind the wheel. Don’t bring company along, though, as Jaguar has stripped the back seats out. Apart from this, there will be safety drills and a review of the video footage after the drive.

If you opt to ride in the Project 8, don't expect to experience the 7:21:23 record-setting lap. Jaguar says that the professional drivers will demonstrate the performance and handling of the XE SV Project 8 during the lap, and passengers will experience speeds in excess of 155 mph and 1.3 G-forces, or more, around the 73-turn, 13-mile circuit, and up to 1.8 G-forces in the banked Karussell corner.
