This BRX  will take advantage of the development made by Daewoo for the creation of Opel Antara and Chevrolet Captiva.

This seven-seter crossover is expected to go into production in mid-to-late 2008.GM  wants to assemble the vehicles at its Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.

The BRX would be slotted below the SRX in size and price and would be Cadillac's lowest priced people mover, with prices around $35,000.

This model is intended to play in the premium segment now occupied by Acura, BMW, Infiniti, Lexus, Lincoln and Mercedes-Benz.

The car will be offered in both front- and all-wheel-drive versions and is expected to be powered by a 3.6-liter V6 mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

It is being designed with both the North American and European markets in mind so  the small SUV will be the key to Cadillac's attack on Europe.
