Cadillac prepared the VSR Sports Rod Concept specifically for the 2009 SEMA Show and anyone who might have overlooked this retro hot rod really missed out. Just like any proper hot rod the VSR is powered by a roaring V8, in this case a 6.0 Liter GM version pumping out a total of 400 HP. The modern day street rod is a one off custom creation that combines meticulous metal work with hand laid carbon fiber to create a true 21st century stylish speed machine. At all four corners are custom oversized five spoke rims from Alcoa wrapped in sticky Toyo rubber. From any angle the exposed rollers give the VSR a unique appearance and when combined with the rear diffuser and laser cut Cadillac emblem give the Sports Rod Concept a look that is all its own.

Power tires, stiff engines, cute size and a reputable brand name. What a total package for the Cadillac.

I like Cadillac, it´s got personality the German brands don´t have. The new Cadillac look good, and have potent engines. A V6 with nearly 300 HP? I´ll take one over any comparable BMW, which must be at least 10K more. GM´s looking good.

You’ve gotta love the fact that GM is putting out a Cadillac with attitude. I’m a big fan of Germany’s proven performers. And there’s no denying the rice grinders can build a beautiful performance sport sedan.

I’d rather have a cadillac over a beamer any day. Beamers are great, but they are waaay too expensive. I guarantee that a fully loaded CTS Coupe will be cheaper than a bare bones M6. Yeah the beamer’s overall quality will be better, But not 30 grand better. But Cadillac is doing good things these days and it’s probably just a matter of time before they are as good as Beamer’s, Benz’s, and Audi’s.

I’ve heard that the Cadillac VSR V-Series is a 400 Horsepower V-Series.
