In the silver corner, we have a Chevy Camaro ZL1 that features a 6.2 L V-8 engine that produces 650 HP & 650 lb-ft of torque. The Camaro is sitting on thicker rubber at the rear

In the silver corner, we have the coveted Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. It looks rather menacing with its body kit, carbon fiber hood, and rear spoiler. Under the hood of the ZL1 lies a lethal 6.2 Liter Supercharged V-8 engine that produces 650 horsepower and 650-pound feet of torque. 0-60 mph is done away within 3.4 seconds and the Chevy tops out at 190 mph. The car seen here looks like it’s riding on fatter rubber at the rear to put those 650 ponies to the ground.

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat

In the black corner, we have a Dodge Challenger Hellcat SRT that features a 6.2 L Hemi V-8 engine that produces a colossal 797 HP & 707 lb-ft of torque

In the black corner, we have yet another Drag Race weapon in the form of the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. This isn’t the most aggressive version of the Challenger though, as that credit would go the Demon and the Hellcat Widebody, but the car you see here is no slouch either. Under the hood of the SRT Hellcat lies an equally potent 6.2-liter V-8 engine, that produces 797 horsepower and 707 pound-feet of torque. 0-60 mph is demolished in 3.7 seconds, as to the Chevy’s, 3.4. The Dodge though has a higher top speed at 203 mph. Just like the Chevy, the Dodge to is wearing fatter rubber to put its power down. With the numbers out of the way, Let’s Race!!

On the first run, the Chevy gets a great start and pulls off the line well

Both cars line up at the Christmas tree for launch. The lights go out and the Chevy got off to a great start pulling off from the line. But by the mid-way point, the Challenger starts reeling in the ZL1 and manages to get past the Chevy at the finish line. The Hellcat did the standing quarter in 10.63 seconds, while the ZL1 managed 11.26 seconds.

Round 2

It stays that way all the way pretty much to the finish line

Before the second pass, both cars pull off a couple of elevens smoking their rear tires and the pair line up at the start line. The lights turn green and this time, the Hellcat’s had a better reaction time and got off to a phenomenal start. It was no competition on this pass and the Challenger left the ZL1 trailing all the way to the finish line. The Hellcat managed 10.86 seconds while the ZL1 managed 11.28 seconds.
