For the new Porsche Panamera, tuning packages have become second nature. When you’re counting how many tuning houses have come out with their own set of packages for Porsche’s new flagship sedan, there’s a likely chance that you’re going to run out of fingers trying to do so.

But while everybody seems to have fallen in love with retooling the Panamera’s body kit, not a lot of them have done anything to upgrade the car’s power.

You might say that with already 500 horsepower under its hood, the Panamera doesn’t need to get anymore amped, right? Try telling that to Cargraphic, who thought that 500 hp isn’t close to being enough, notching up the Panamera’s power by an extra 50 horsepower, giving it 550 hp in total and raising the speed to 186 mph. In a time where even the minutest of details matter a great deal, that extra 50 horsepower from Cargraphic could spell the difference between a fast Panamera and a really, really fast one.

Just so you know, we haven’t forgotten about Cargraphic’s aerodynamic kit, either. Those sport air filters and 19" to 22" light alloy wheels should bode well in rounding out Cargraphic’s overall Panamera tuning package.

Press release after the jump.

Press release

With its 4.8-litre V8 engine, the new Porsche Panamera offers enormous potential for power. However, even the turbo version reaches its limits at 368 kW/500 hp. But the Porsche specialists of Cargraphic in Germany are now showing what they’re made of by achieving a ten per cent power upgrade.

With 404 kW/550 hp and a torque plus of 75 Nm, the acceleration is now just below the four-second mark. Even the speedometer needle gets a slight boost at top speed right around the 300 km/h mark. Thanks to the standard all-wheel drive and the efficient 7-speed PDK transmission, the extra power can be found exactly where it belongs: on the road.

Along with a DME control unit, the Cargraphic power kit includes a pair of sport air filters to allow the oxygen-hungry turbo to "breathe" even better. The price for the effective "speed package" developed in Landau is 1,495 euros (plus VAT). To make the special status of the Cargraphic Panamera even more prominent, the traditional company with a 25-year history can also happily provide various sets of attractive alloy wheels. There is something to suit all tastes and standards, ranging from the sporty 19" IS-ONE flow-forming wheel to the extravagant three-piece 22" GT, GT-R and I-10 forged wheels. This lets the customer really show their true colours - especially as they are free to choose the paintwork of their aluminium rims.

Well it can fit a gang of 4 or 5 but with this look, I see it more as a good family car. A car that can be trusted to the wife for shopping at the grocery shop or for the husband in giving the kids a ride to and from school.

I guess 500 horses under the hood is not enough, hmm i guess i have to agree with that with it’s heavy and bolder bold i think another more 100 horses is pretty needed to its engine.

The Panamera shows a classic elegance that other models don’t have. The size is perfectly fit for the whole gang.
