Even with the holidays closing in, carmakers are working hard on their upcoming or refreshed models. With this in mind, the facelift version of the Mercedes A-Class was spotted not long ago, testing in heavy snow. In October, we saw the refreshed Mercedes AMG A35 testing, although not in snowy weather. Just like the A35, the regular A-Class features almost no camouflage, so almost all of the exterior is visible.

By all accounts it doesn’t look like the 2022 A-Class will score significant changes, at least on the outside. With the A35 we expect very minor exterior changes compared to the 2019 Mercedes AMG A35 but there is still time for surprises.

Mercedes has taken the upcoming A-Class to Scandinavia, for cold-weather testing near the Arctic circle. The only noticeable camouflage is at the front fascia and around the taillights and rear diffuser. The headlights seem to retain the same shape as the current A-Class, but we expect slight changes to the lower front fascia, in terms of optimized aerodynamics and cooling.

At the rear, we might get new exhausts tips, as well as new reflector lights, accompanied by new LED graphics for the taillights. At any rate, we would know for sure, once the 2022 Mercedes A-Class makes a debut, sometime next year.
