The new-generation Jeep Grand Wagoneer is just around the corner with an official unveiling set to take place on September 3. The iconic nameplate is returning after three decades and Jeep is busy rolling out teasers to create more hype. The latest teaser photos reveal new details from the cabin, as well as a top view that confirms a massive panoramic roof. But it also contains an Easter egg.

The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer will feature a massive panoramic roof

The top view teaser shows a few interesting details. We can see the beefed-up front and rear fenders, the bulged engine hood, and three rows of rectangular side windows. It also confirms the boxy overall design. But the biggest news here is the massive panoramic roof that stretches over almost the entire length of the glasshouse.

While on most SUVs the panoramic roof covers just the first two rows of seats, on the Grand Wagoneer it's long enough that it provides natural light to the third-row too. Of course, this massive panoramic roof won't be standard. The range-topping trim will probably get it at no additional cost, but it will be optional on every other trim.

As discovered by Autoblog, the pattern on the tinted panoramic roof is actually a street map of the Detroit metro area. The selected area also includes the Warren Truck Plant, where the Grand Wagoneer will be built, and it's marked with a strange icon.

As Autoblog suggests, it resembles the badges Jeep uses on its Trailhawk and Trackhawk models, so it could be a hint. While a Trackhawk version isn't very likely anytime soon, Jeep will probably offer a Trailhawk trim with off-road-oriented gear.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, for instance, comes with a Quadra-Drive II four-wheel-drive system, a Quadra-Lift air suspension system, Selec-Speed control, and Hill Descent Control. It can also be equipped with 20-inch alloys wheels and off-road tires with Kevlar coating, special badges, and special Mopar gear. The Grand Wagoneer Trailhawk will probably come with a similar package.

The second teaser is a shot of the interior. Specifically, it shows the dashboard as viewed from the side with the driver door open. The edge of the dashboard features an interesting plate that seems to be made from brushed aluminum, paired with a chrome frame. It features a silhouette of the SUV along with "Wagoneer" lettering, but we can also see heavy chrome on the A/C vents.

We can't see other details from this photo alone, but it's pretty obvious that the Grand Wagoneer will feature the most luxurious interior of any Jeep. And it might be fancy enough to compete with big premium SUVs like the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator.

But we will find out more about that on September 3, so make sure you stick around for more information.
