If you're a fan of restomods, you probably know that Ringbrothers is one of the best names in the business. The Wisconsin-based company is know for building tremendous restomod vehicles out of classic muscle cars, all of which stole the show at specific events across the U.S. in recent years. But the company also has an affinity for old American SUVs like the Chevrolet K5 Blazer. A while back they built the Seaker, a 430-horsepower, LS3-powered Blazer. Come 2020 and Ringbrothers unveiled a new custom SUV designed for American rapper and singer Future.

Apart from the modernized wheels provided by HRE and the LED lights, this K5 Blazer remains true to its original design from the 1960s. The same goes for the interior, which now includes premium materials but retains the original layout and analog technology.

But things change under the hood, where the original engine was replaced by an LS-type crate mill. There's also a new exhaust system by Flowmaster. No word on how much the V-8 delivers, but it's safe to assume that this Blazer packs more than 400 horsepower.

This project is based on the first-generation Chevrolet K5 Blazer. Built from 1969 to 1972, the original K5 Blazer was designed as a competitor for the Ford Bronco and the International Harvester. It was based on the Chevrolet C/K truck, but it featured a smaller wheelbase and it was marketed as an SUV.

The first-gen K5 Blazer was available with a selection of inline-six and V-8 engines, ranging from 4.1 to 5.7 liters. The Blazer was redesigned in 1973 and the second-gen model survived until 1991. A third-gen model followed in 1992, but it was discontinued in 1994 to make way for the Chevrolet Tahoe.
