There are a lot of things you can do in three minutes. You can brush your teeth in three minutes. You can write an e-mail in three minutes. Heck, you can probably even take a shower in three minutes if you’re in a rush.

For Neiman Marcus, they did something remarkable in three minutes too. They sold all 100 of the available Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Neiman Marcus Edition models in three minutes. That’s right, 100 units in 180 seconds, and at $75,000 a piece too.

As ridiculous as it may sound, it’s also an ingenious way to market a car ahead of its release next year. After all, when you’re buying a Camaro->ke248, why not go all out on a special edition, right?

And in fairness to the Neiman Marcus Camaro, it is one beautiful machine. The Deep Bordeaux paint finish looks amazing and the ghosted rally stripes complements the color rather nicely. There’s also the matte silver windshield frame and those set of 21-inch polished alloy wheels that fit snugly inside those Pirelli P-Zero tires.

But the best part of this deal is that these 100 owners will have a car nobody else on the planet is going to have, even if it means paying $75,000 to have that privilege. And for those of you who wanted to own a part of that privilege, but didn't make it in time, don't despair. There's always that chance that some of these models were scooped up by the scalpers of the auto world so they could turn around and resell them. Just be sure you're ready to pay extra for the same car. One copy of the "sold out" Frozen Gray BMW M3 showed up at a dealer in Florida and is currently being sold for a $21,300 profit.
