There’s a reason why the Chevrolet COPO Camaro is such an in-demand car. For starters, it’s unlike any Camaro->ke248 that Chevrolet->ke199 has these days. Technically, it’s a muscle car,->ke507 but in reality, it’s actually a ready-to-go dragster that calls any drag strip its home. This video of the COPO Camaro doing COPO Camaro things perfectly illustrates that.

First, there’s the loud engine sound that is about as deafening as any Camaro. Then there’s the chassis literally standing on its rear axle on every launch, thanks in large part to the metal-twisting power coming out of its naturally aspirated 7.0-liter LSX V-8 engine. And, if that isn't enough, there’s always the sight of those rear tires producing so much smoke you’d think the car had some kind of hidden smoke machine installed in the rear. All these things combine to make the COPO Camaro the closest thing to a monster on four wheels, or two, in instances where it’s doing those wheelies.

These things all combine to perfectly illustrate how in-demand the COPO Camaro is. Chevy only builds 69 units per model year, but as previously reported, the demand for the car has gone all the way up to the thousands. Obviously, not every one is going to get their hands on a factory-built COPO Camaro, so for those who are left with the option of building the car themselves, they can draw inspiration from watching this video to see the COPO Camaro exhibit the kind of power it has for all the world to see.

Remember, if you’re going to watch this video,->ke278 it’s highly recommended that you do so with the volume from your speakers raised to as much as your ears can handle it.
