The Chevron GR8 was announced at the end of 2009 and after only six months, the company announced the car is ready for its first testings. The car was built for the one-make Chevron GR8 Challenge Series that will debut at Silverstone on May 8-9, 2010.

The Chevron GR8 is constructed around a center section comprising of semimonocoque aluminum sills and platform structure integrated with an MSA compliant roll cage in 50 mm diameter steel tube. Forward of the front bulkhead, a 50 mm and 25 mm box section steel spaceframe incorporates a removable nose box. The rear spaceframe is also in a 50 mm and 25 mm box section steel. The sills make more effective use of material than might be the case with a tubular structure and are seen as a better solution to side impact protection.

The GR8 is powered by a Cosworth 2.0L YD in-line 4-cylinder power unit that develops 255-260 bhp at 8200 rpm and 190 ft-lbs at 7500 rpm. Power is transmitted through a Hewland JFR 5-speed sequential gearbox.

Event dates and venues are: May 8-9 at Silverstone; June 5-6 at Brands Hatch; June 19 at Oulton Park; July 3-4 at Croft; July 31-August 1 at Anglesey; August 7-8 at Thruxton; October 3 at Mallory Park.
