There are plenty of options to choose from to suit your Silverado needs

The Chevrolet Silverado made its long-awaited debut at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show. If you’re already drooling over the possibility of owning one in the future, you’re in for a treat because the Silverado will have no shortage of trim options to choose from. According to Chevy, the new half-ton pickup truck will be available in eight different trim options, spread across three different ranges. As far as getting your money’s worth, the new Silverado is giving you plenty of breathing room to choose the best trim that suits your needs and your wallets.

The most prominent of these features is the large Chevrolet graphic across the front grille and tailgate

Judging by its name, the Silverado High Value trim sits as the base version of the Silverado 1500. It has three different trim options to choose from, including “Work Truck,” which mostly features cosmetic additions to the pickup. The most prominent of these features is the large Chevrolet graphic across the front grille and tailgate. There’s no mistaking this pickup for anything other than a Chevy with that kind of prominent graphics. The second feature is a set of 17-inch steel wheels that provide increased levels of durability, something any pickup owner would like to hear. Move inside and the only upgrades you get include a choice between vinyl or cloth seats and a seven-inch color touchscreen.

If the Work Truck trim isn’t to your liking, you can opt for the more stylish Custom trim. This option takes the cosmetic styling to a new level with the offer of a body-color styling theme. It also gets LED signature taillamp, an integrated dual exhaust system, and a set of 20-inch aluminum wheels.

The final trim option available in the High Value range is new for 2019. It’s called Custom Trailboss, and it has an equipment menu that includes plenty of mechanical and functional features. Off-road equipment comes standard in this trim, including a two-inch suspension lift and Chevy’s Z71 Off Road Package. The latter, in particular, includes a locking rear differential, skid plates, Rancho shocks, and a set of 18-inch wheels wrapped in Goodyear Duratrac off-road tires.

Chevrolet Silverado High Volume

Like past versions of the Silverado 1500 LT, this trim comes with a good amount of chrome accounts throughout the body of the pickup

The second-tier range of the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado features a trim option that’s familiar to everyone: LT. Like past versions of the Silverado 1500 LT, this trim comes with a good amount of chrome accounts throughout the body of the pickup, including the bumpers, front grille, and mirror caps. LED reflector headlights are also part of the trim package, as are signature daytime running lights. Inside, the LT trim gets leather seats and an eight-inch color touchscreen unit.

Moving on from the LT trim brings us to a pair of new trim additions to the Silverado lineup. The first one is called RST, and in Chevy’s words, it “brings a street-performance appearance to the LT.” The main highlights of this option is a body-color trim, full LED lighting that’s spread across the headlamps, fog lamps, and taillamps, and a set of 22-inch wheels wrapped in all-season tires.

The second new trim option under the High Volume range is the LT Trailboss. Customers who opt to get this specific trim will enjoy all the goodies from the LT trim. On top of that, Chevy’s also offering a good amount of off-road equipment, ranging from a two-inch suspension lift and the same Z71 Off Road Package that the Custom Trailboss is offering. That includes a locking rear differential, skid plates, Rancho shocks, and a set of 18-inch wheels wrapped in Goodyear Duratrac off-road tires.

Chevrolet Silverado High Feature

Far and away the most sophisticated trim of the Chevy pickup, the High Country is the only trim option that comes with an exclusive front grille design

If you’ve made it this far, I’m assuming you’re interested in the Silverado’s big boy range, otherwise known as High Feature. There are the two trim options included in this range, one of which is the LTZ trim. This option adds a smattering of chrome accents on the pickup’s exterior. There’s chrome on the bumpers, front grille, mirror caps, door handles, and the belt line. Power folding and heated outside rearview mirrors are also included in the trim. Inside, the leather interior trim becomes standard equipment.

Then there’s the Silverado 1500 High Country. Far and away the most sophisticated trim of the Chevy pickup, the High Country is the only trim option that comes with an exclusive front grille design comprised of a two-tone chrome and bronze finish. Body-color accents, chrome assist steps, and a power up/down tailgate — a first for this segment — all come as standard equipment.
