Final Thoughts

The Colorado sales are consistent, but it hasn’t been a breakthrough product for GM despite its popularity. It is still far from the number of Tacomas sold annually. The 2021 model and these appearance packages might give it a small boost, but you can’t expect a lot out of it. Chevy Colorado’s twin cousin, the GMC Canyon looks far better at this point. GMC even introduced the new AT4 off-road trim that could be a big hit. The new Denali looks impressive as well. Although it is a premium offering, the Canyon is more accomplished and will be better in the long run.

GM is even offering interest-free financing on GMC Canyon to increase sales during the pandemic. Assuming that it’ll take the industry a long time to recover, the same could be offered on the 2021 Canyon as well. At this point, the interest-free options are not available on Chevrolet products. So, that would make the Canyon a better deal price-wise as well.
