Even though at first glance the 2016 McLaren 675LT seems like a consolation prize for the folks who couldn’t get their hands on a 2014 McLaren P1, the truth of the matter is all 500 units of the not-so-long-tail 675LT have been sold even before all examples have been built. In other words, it really doesn’t matter what Chris Harris says about it in the above "first drive" review, you won’t get to order one afterward.

Harris’ typically understated observation of the 675LT during his test drive is that "it’s a bit fast." Yeah, Chris... just a bit.
Technically based on the 2015 McLaren 650S, the 675 PS (666 hp) supercar is around 220 pounds lighter than its less-powerful brother, resulting in downright terrifying performance on the track. According to the Harrismonkey, the feeling behind the wheel is that it’s faster than some race cars out there.

Toward the end of the video we can watch Chris explain some of the aluminum, titanium, carbon-fiber and plexiglass bits and pieces that were specifically designed for the 675LT. Let’s just hope that no one at McLaren saw him pinch those titanium wheel nuts at around the 7:40 minute mark. While the scene was obviously staged for comic relief, it is possible that he completely forgot about them afterward and ended up stealing from McLaren. I’m continuously checking eBay just to make sure, they may come in handy for a coffee table I’m planning to build.
