Chrysler->ke21 has announced that there will be a recall of a number of 2010MY and 2011MY Chrysler and Dodge->ke28 models. The cause of the recall appears to be a problem with a power steering pressure hose that has the possibility to leak fluid straight into the engine, which could then lead to a possible fire.

The vehicles affected by the recall include a number of 2010MY Chrysler 300->ke937 and Sebring->ke1403, as well as the Dodge Charger, the Avenger, the Challenger, and the Journey where they are also joined by some 2011MY Ram pick-up trucks. All in all, 26,397 owners are affected by the recall in the US with another 13,000 vehicles overseas affected by the same problem.

According to Chrysler, the recall is expected to begin at the end of October where dealers will look into the problem with these cars and, if the parts are deemed to be in need of replacement, the dealerships will replace them at no cost to the car owner.

So in the event that you have any one of these models, you might want to give Chrysler a ring at 1-800-853-1403.
