This week, it was announced that Trevor Creed, Chrysler’s senior vice president for design, will retire at the end of the month.
Ralph Gilles will take over as vice president for design on Sept. 1. Gilles, who is most known for designing the Chrysler 300, already has big plans for Chrysler telling the Free Press on Tuesday that he wants to get Chrysler’s "cars to be sexy again." Instead of focusing on edgy designs, Gilles says he will move Chrysler more to an ‘organic’ design theme. Gilles wants shapes that are more organic but with character, such as the Dodge Zeo and EcoVoyager concept cars.
