You can call us pleasantly surprised; that much we’re willing to admit. Not known for producing crossover vehicles, Citroen->ke22 has certainly shown that just because their track record says otherwise, it doesn’t mean that they can’t prove them wrong.

The French-based automaker recently released the first official photos of the AirCross crossover. Aesthetically speaking, the AirCross is a departure to the brand’s oftentimes conservative approach, opting for a crossover that comes with a rugged, off-road look.

Based on the Citroen C3 Picasso MPV, the AirCross features a bevy of modifications including a newly-designed front and rear bumper, new grills in the front fascia, wheel arch extensions, roof rails, an aluminum trim, and bigger-than-usual alloy wheels.

Specifications behind the AirCross have yet to be revealed so in the meantime, we’re going to have to settle for these two clear-as-day photos of the crossover. We’ll be sure to update you of any further information as soon as they become available.
