The British automaker Climax Cars has announced their intention to launch a new sports car that will compete with other limited production models like the Ariel Atom V8 and Caparo T1. The new sports car is called Climax Sports Racer and will be limited to only 200 units, wearing a price tag starting at £92,000. The Climax Sports Racer is a stripped down race inspired performance vehicle that combines the latest in automotive technology along with dramatic hand crafted aluminium bodywork.

The Climax Sports Racer will be powered by a 4.6 Liter V8 driving the rear wheels and making up to 345 HP and can accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in just 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed in excess of 170 MPH. A more powerful Climax Sports Racer S will come equipped with a supercharger and produce up to 450 HP for an even more electrifying high performance experience. The Climax’s chassis will be made from extremely light weight extruded aluminum which provides the car with exceptional handling and is equipped with a fully adjustable suspension to optimize the car’s set up for either road or track. The Sports Racer can be specified with options that include ceramic brakes, sequential and paddle shift gearboxes, engine power upgrades and full racing harnesses.

I’ll prefer a motorcycle instead on riding this one. Whats the use of buying a car if your not going the enjoy it being a car.

@michealpage, I agree with you and if ever i’m going to choose from that one and a motorcycle i’d rather choose the bike. At least its not awkward looking if I wear a helmet.

I wont really care on how fast it would go or if it gets to beat some fancy race car. I would probably not drive this car as I don’t want to be wearing a helmet when I have to drive. A car with a roof perhaps would be the choice for me.

Maybe but we don’t know the capability of this car where Climax sports are confident to outcast the Atom V8 and T1. Always remember that a lot of limited edition cars have enormous power as a special feature. Also the sprint time of this one is less than 4 second from 0 to 60 MPH.

I don’t think it will be possible to beat that car, too impossible. But I’m not closing some other comments about that. Although the performance is that interesting, I would say 30% chance to compete with Ariel Atom and Caparo T1.
