Bob Lutz announced in an interview at Los Angeles Auto Show that the ZR-1 will make its official debut at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show. It will be powered by a 6.2 liter V8 engine that delivers 650 hp.

Also Bob Lutz claimed that that he personally pushed the upcoming Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 over 200mph at the Michigan Proving Ground.

Next to the ZR-1, General Motors will also unveil the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V, the plug-in version of the Two-Mode Saturn Vue and a Saturn-badged version of the Opel Flextreme.
